1. Connect "Local" Scale, (Scale 1), to "Remote" Scale, (Scale 2).
2. Switch off. Press and hold [SAMPLE] key. Press [ON] key. Release [SAMPLE] key. Display shows "SCALE -01-".
3. INTERNAL COUNT. Press [SET A/B] key. Display will show the internal count (Approx. 8000).
4. CAPACITY. Press [SET A/B] key and display shows the scale capacity "CXXXX - XX". Press [SAMPLE] key to change to capacity required.
5. GRADUATION. Press [SET A/B] key again. The display shows the graduation at up to 1/15,000 of the capacity. Press the [SAMPLE] key to change it.
6. ZERO. Press [SET A/B] key again. The display shows "L 0000". Remove everything from plate to set zero point and make sure scale is stable.
7. CALIBRATION WEIGHT. Press [SET A/B] key again. Display shows "L XXXX", the weight to be used for calibration. This can be altered by pressing the [SAMPLE] key. Place calibration weight on plate.
8. CALIBRATION. Press [SET A/B] key again. If the weight is acceptable the display will show "CALIb" then count down from 5 to 1 and display the calibrated weight value. Switch off.
9. REMOTE SCALE CALIBRATION. Press and hold [SAMPLE] key. Press [ON] key. Release [SAMPLE] key. Display shows "SCALE -01-".
Press [SCALE SELECT] key and display will show "SCALE -2-". Repeat steps 3-8 to calibrate the remote platform.
OPERATION.
(i) Use Scale 1 for total weights up to capacity of Scale 1.
(a) Place sample on plate. Press [SAMPLE] key.
(b) Enter sample quantity on keypad. Press [SAMPLE] key again.
(c) Weight Display shows weight, Piece Weight Display the item weight & Count shows quantity. Add items and Count Display will increase accordingly.
(ii) For heavier loads use Scale 1 to sample & press [SCALE SELECT] key to activate Scale 2.
(iii) The item weight will remain in the Piece Weight Display.
(iv) Remove everything from the plate. If a container is to be used, place it on Scale 2 and press the [TARE] key to zero.
(v) Load the container and the Count Display will indicate the number of components in the container.
